On Thursday, August 14th, my son decided it was time to see the word :) my water broke at 5:15 on Wednesday at Sea World (kinda embarrassing)! after that, we went to the hospital and waited for things to start. after about 10 hrs, i decided to get the epidural, which hurt, but made everything after a lot better! at 6:30ish, my doctor came in and said that Cohen's heart rate was going down after the contractions and it wasn't a good sign but he didn't know what was wrong. he said that if i was farther along, we'd just be able to wait it out, but i was only 4 cm dilated so we were going to have to do a c section. i was so scared, but it went so fast and a half hr later i had my beautiful, healthy baby boy in my arms! i could not have asked for anything better! we stayed in the hospital until yesterday, Sunday, and last night was our first night home as a family... i can't believe he's finally here! Jerry is an AMAZING father and has changed quite a few diapers :) please pray for us as we continue to get in a routine and figure all this out. thanks! we wish more of our family were down here to see us, but at least we have this blog...
